I'm dealing with an haproxy feature issue right now ; which is bugging
me quite a bit.
Here it is :
- No keep-alive is a performance killer with Internet Explorer browser.
(that is, over 80% of the website visitors). The sites becomes slow
when keep-alive is deactivated, in a way that is very noticeable. The
more there are pictures on the site, more it has a high impact.
- If I don't disable keep-alive in haproxy, according to the
documentation, the X-Forward-For header is not sent ; therefore
breaking logs and environment variables (I use mod_rpaf to convert the
header to $REMOTE_ADDR)
Did I miss something ?
Isn't there a way to resend the header at each request ; keeping the
haproxy <-> IE connection open ? Or something like that ... ?
Thanks for any of your insights,
