We are using haproxy as load balancer on a Ultra Sparc T1 Maschine. It works very well!

You have to enable your syslog daemon to listen to upd on port 514.

Compiled with:
gmake TARGET=solaris CPU=ultrasparc REGEX=static-pcre CC=gcc LD=gcc
